I took it back and they told me that the display was replaced but not the logic board. When I took it home and after a few weeks, the flicker returned. I took it back to the Genius bar and they said that the logic board and the display would have to be replaced. They replaced the logic board and the display and now the 2011 is working fine but now the new machine, mid-2014 flickering. The recall was very quiet and I found it quite by accident. After I purchased a new machine, mid-2014, I read where my 2011 MBP would qualify for a repair on recall. When I first took it to the Apple store they said there was nothing that they could do about it because the years warranty was up and I would have to purchase a new machine. I had a problem with my MBP circa 2011 with video issues, lines running through the display so that it was difficult or impossible to see the screen.
